Dark Fins was founded in early 2022, but the fins themselves were produced a bit earlier. In previous years, the fins were made without a brand and were primarily made of fiberglass. The use of fiberglass was dictated by its much lower price compared to carbon. For several months, we experimented with various fin shapes, thicknesses, and even the composition of the core and different fiber weave arrangements. The experiments had varying outcomes, and in the worst cases, fins even broke at their base. Thanks to these experiments, we drew conclusions and selected the best scenarios for our production.

Eventually, the decision was made to switch the material to carbon. This led to the creation of our first carbon fin, which is still with us today. This veteran has undergone all possible durability tests and continues to fulfill its purpose. Due to positive experiences with carbon material, it has become the primary raw material for creating our fins.

By deepening our knowledge of carbon laminate production, the fins we create have become the foundation for the Dark Fins brand. We continuously strive for excellence by participating in various training sessions on carbon laminate manufacturing methods, modifying our workshop to make our products even better.

In production, we use the highest quality aluminum alloy molds, certified carbon fabrics, and appropriately selected epoxy resins.

In the 2023 season, our fins gained significant popularity, which greatly pleases us. We can now proudly say that Dark Fins Pro ranks among the best fins on the market, according to our customers' opinions. We sincerely thank you for all your feedback.

We are constantly focused on development, and that's why, starting in November, we introduced our new product: a 96 cm carbon mast for foiling. The current mount is dedicated to the Starboard system. We are confident that, just like our fins, the mast will quickly find its fans.
